Dr. Hoàng Tuấn Medical Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, recently installed Canfield’s VECTRA WB360 whole-body imaging system in their practice. The whole-body imaging system offers 3D imaging through 46 stereo vision pods that take pictures with cross-polarized and non-polarized lighting, generating a single 3D image of the entire body. Incorporated with VECTRA® and DermaGraphix® software, this body-mapping system will provide skin lesion assessment and enhance their aesthetic consultations. Dr. Hoàng Thanh Tuấn (MD, PhD) and his staff will be able to do plastic surgery simulations, review images during consultations, and compare Before and After images after the treatment and procedures. Automated measurements, some only possible with 3D technology, will help better understand their patient’s current condition and refine treatment techniques. This installation marks the first VECTRA WB360 in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, as VECTRA WB360 continues to assist providers in enhancing their care worldwide.

Canfield’s VECTRA WB360 whole-body imaging system was recently donated to the Spedali Civili di Brescia Hospital in collaboration with University of Brescia by The Carolina Zani Melanoma Foundation ETS. This donation is part of a larger project involving the Dermatology Department, with Prof. Calzavara Pinton Piergiacomo, the director of the UO Dermatology at AST Spedali Civilli and Dermatology Clinic of University of Brescia. The VECTRA WB360 captures patient images using 46 stereo vision pods with cross-polarized and non-polarized lighting, generating a single 3D image of the entire body. Incorporating Canfield’s DermaGraphix® software, the 3D images are used for pigmented lesion and rash surveillance. Using VECTRA’s 3D imaging technology, Prof. Calzavara Pinton Piergiacomo and his staff can examine individual lesions, record data, and monitor patients over time. This installation marks the 4th in Italy and the 22nd in Europe, as VECTRA WB360 continues to support groundbreaking work in dermatology worldwide.

As an addition to the newly reconstructed Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center, the 3D imaging system will provide clinicians and researchers the ability to identify changes in suspicious lesions on the surface of the skin over time. The WB360 creates a precise 3D body map of the patient, which gives “Andreas Syggros” Hospital a way to combat the country’s high rate of melanoma. As of today, VECTRA WB360, a synonym for medical innovation and research in the field of dermatology, will safeguard the extraordinary work undertaken in this updated Center.
