The first VECTRA® WB360 whole-body imaging system in Greece, donated by Onassis Foundation, has just been installed in “Andreas Syggros” Hospital Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center

Canfield’s VECTRA WB360 whole-body imaging system was recently donated to the “Andreas Syggros” Hospital by the Onassis Foundation, marking the first WB360 system to be featured in a Greek hospital. This system, which can offer 3D imaging through 46 stereo-vision pods that take pictures with cross-polarized and non-polarized lighting, generating a single 3D image of the entire body, is considered the future of Dermatology and Skin Oncology. As an addition to the newly reconstructed Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center, the 3D imaging system will provide clinicians and researchers the ability to identify changes in suspicious lesions on the surface of the skin over time. The WB360 creates a precise 3D body map of the patient, which gives “Andreas Syggros” Hospital a way to combat the country’s high rate of melanoma. As of today, VECTRA WB360, a synonym for medical innovation and research in the field of dermatology, will safeguard the extraordinary work undertaken in this updated Center.

VECTRA® WB360 whole-body imaging system installed in Hopital de la Conception-AP-HM Marseille, the first installation in France

Canfield’s VECTRA WB360 was recently installed at the Hopital de la Conception-AP-HM Marseille, making it the first WB360 system to be featured in a French hospital. The whole-body imaging system will be the centerpiece of the hospital’s multi-room system for clinical dermatology, where it includes rooms for body mapping and confocal microscopy. The VECTRA WB360 captures patient images using 46 stereo vision pods with cross-polarized and non-polarized lighting, generating a single 3D image of the entire body. Incorporating Canfield’s AI-driven DermaGraphix® software, the 3D images are used for pigmented lesion and rash surveillance. Using VECTRA’S 3D imaging technology Prof. Jean-Jacques Grob and Jilliana Monnier, MD can examine individual lesions, record data, and monitor patients over time. This latest installation in Marseille is one of fifteen WB360 systems in Europe and is the fifth system so far in 2022.

VECTRA® WB360 whole-body imaging system installed in Konz, Germany to assist Dr. Gerd Kautz and Dr. Ingrid Kautz with screenings and prevention

Canfield’s VECTRA WB360 whole-body imaging system was recently installed at the clinic of Dr. Gerd Kautz and Dr. Ingrid Kautz in Konz, Germany, becoming the first system installed in a German private practice. The 3D imaging system will assist Dr. Gerd Kautz, his wife Dr. Ingrid Kautz, and other staff members as they examine patients for the earliest signs of melanoma using the system’s advanced body mapping technology. The VECTRA WB360 captures patient images using 92 SLR-cameras flashing with polarized and cross-polarized lighting for an enhanced look at skin features. After the images are captured, clinicians can view the entire skin’s surface using Canfield’s AI-driven DermaGraphix software, as they screen for signs of melanoma and monitor changes over time. Starting in early October, staff members at the practice will use the system to examine individual lesions and monitor their patients for potential skin cancer. Their practice is now the fifth VECTRA WB360 installation in Germany, including installations at the University Hospital in Erlangen, University Hospital in Munich, University Hospital in Dresden, and the Technical University of Munich.
