An impressive contribution came from a participating physician: using image documentation from her own practice, she showed how she examines patients with IntelliStudio^® and presented a remarkable analysis of her diagnostic results.

Held on May 30, 2026, the workshop built on the Munich format: once again, Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Stolz and Dr. Ulrich Koch presented to invited users of Canfield systems, supported by Dimitri Mertens and Francesco Colella.

Prof. Stolz made clear that dermoscopy today requires both guideline-based expertise and confident use of digital tools – backed by the current body of evidence.

How does your own eye compare with AI – and who makes the call? Participants put this to the test in a smartphone quiz, rating cases previously assessed by DEXI^®*, Canfield's AI. Dr. Koch explained the risk assessment score as well as positive and negative predictive values; Prof. Stolz placed each case in its differential-diagnostic context.

IntelliStudio then took center stage – a fitting follow-up to the physician's case report. Participants worked hands-on with total body photography and sequential digital dermoscopy, while the speakers commented on initial and follow-up examinations, team roles and diagnostic aids. Economic and legal aspects specific to Belgium followed, along with the diagnostic and aesthetic applications of VISIA^®, NEXA^® and VECTRA^® H2.

The workshop wound down with conversations over dinner.
