Canfield Supports Operation Smile with VECTRA 3D
Operation Smile provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe. Since 1982, they have changed the lives of over 200,000 children in some of the poorest places on Earth.
In February of 2014, Maria Ansley, a photographer with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, traveled to Nicaragua for a study to document the outcomes of these surgeries. Accompanying her on this mission were two VECTRA H1 handheld 3D cameras, provided courtesy of Canfield Imaging Systems.
"VECTRA H1 offers a transformative technology for our medical teams," she stated on her return. "I believe it will change the way we practice medical photography in the field." Canfield is honored to support the mission of Operation Smile, and pleased that our imaging solutions will be used to improve the lives of so many afflicted children.
