Image Analysis Software Engineer

Job Description:

Develop MatLab image processing algorithm prototypes with the ability to convert them into commercial-grade C/C++ modules for use in clinical studies. Develop Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for use in clinical studies. Test research-developed image processing algorithms. Act as the primary interface with organizations Data Management Systems for Image Analysis (DMSIA), a software suite that functions as a visual front-end to our Data Management System (DMS). Support any special time-critical image analysis projects that might lie outside of the scope of clinical studies. Design, prototype deep-learning algorithms for image processing in Python. Design, implement and test algorithms and GUIs in C++ (or other SDKs like Qt) for non-clinical studies. Implement new features and test them for deployment in commercial products such as Visia and Reveal. Extract and analyze data from SQL databases for training of deep-learning models. Optimize algorithm to improve computational performance and accuracy.

Primary Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field
  • 36 months of experience as a Software Developer or related
    • Must include 36 months with:
      • Matlab, Python, or C++ development.
      • Image Processing, Signal Processing, or Computer Vision
      • Machine Learning
      • Artificial Intelligence
      • Linear Algebra, Computational Geometry, Probability & Statistics, or Multi-variate Calculus
    • Must include 12 months with:
      • Microsoft Visual Studio for C/C++ development.
      • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design experience

Alternative Requirement

  • M.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related
  • Undergraduate or Graduate coursework in
    • Matlab and Python development (9 credits)
    • C++ development. (12 credits)
    • Image Processing, Signal Processing, or Computer Vision (12 credits)
    • Machine Learning (3 credits)
    • Artificial Intelligence (3 credits)
    • Linear Algebra, Computational Geometry, Probability & Statistics, or Multi-variate Calculus (12 credits)
  • 12 months of experience as a Software Developer or related including:
    • Microsoft Visual Studio for C/C++ development.
    • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design experience
