Camera/Technical Services: Camera Lab Specialist
The ideal candidate for our Camera Lab Specialist position is one who possesses strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This individual will work well independently, has experience working in a team environment under time and resource pressures, possess good oral and written communication skills, and demonstrates technical and mechanical aptitude.
Job Description:
- Manage camera and lab projects, existing or new, to ensure they are meeting project specifications
- Build and modify both imaging capture systems and clinical imaging systems using existing imaging systems and/or new systems
- Stay current with camera/camera equipment trends, technology, and products, suggesting potential new components for imaging systems
- Provide technical expertise and support for any issues when camera equipment or associated software problems are encountered with imaging systems or lab equipment
- Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate individuals and/or development teams, as well as troubleshooting directly with users on applications and hardware issues
- Provide individual onsite training on commercial and custom equipment, at clients’ location as needed
Core Requirements:
- Diploma/technical/associated degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic or similar
- 3 years’ experience in imaging systems or related systems
- Understanding of mechanical assembly and ability make prototype imaging systems
- Proficient with MS Office and strong project management skills
- Up to 10% travel (both domestic and international) with the ability to lift equipment (50lbs+)
- Robust knowledge of digital cameras and flash systems
- Current with the latest commercial sensor technology on the market today
- Ability to optimize lighting environments and camera settings for high quality images

The anticipated salary range for the position is $70,000.00-80,000.00. This is dependent upon consideration of multiple factors when determining a base salary such as a candidate’s experience, education, and current market conditions.
