According to an article in the February, 2014 issue of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, while several studies have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of cryolipolysis procedures, volumetric fat reduction from this treatment has not previously been quantified. Under the direction of Dr. Lilit Garibyan at Massachusetts General Hospital, a prospective study has now investigated the change in volume of fat after cryolipolysis treatment using Canfield's VECTRA 3D system and software.
