We are seeking an experienced image analysis applications programmer for our clinical services group with experience in image processing and analysis using Media Cybernetics Image-Pro Plus.
This position requires previous knowledge and experience working in the field of image analysis application programming utilizing Image Pro Plus and Visual Basic. The applicant should be able to work with minimal supervision after initial training. It would be the responsibility of the applicant to interface with both internal and external personnel regarding evaluation of images and proposal of solutions to image analysis problems. The applicant should be able to prototype image analysis solutions utilizing Image Pro Plus programming environments including VB6. The applicant should be able to test image analysis solutions for stability and scientific soundness and build final application modules in Visual Basic 6.
The ideal candidate is an individual with experience in project management, performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, is well organized, works well independently, and has strong communication skills.
Core Requirements:
- Familiarity with Image Pro Plus versions 4.N, 5.N and 6.N and its programming environments.
- At least 3 years experience with Visual Basic 6.N.
- Ability to evaluate images for image analysis and propose solutions to imaging problems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic statistics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to deliver results in accordance with deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a team, while also able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and listening.
- Should have some understanding of optics, lighting and digital camera technology.
- Should have some understanding of skin imaging and photography.
Desired:
A working knowledge of Media Cybernetics IQ studio would be advantageous.
Familiarity with validating and documenting image analysis methodology would be an advantage.
